If you are using the Google Chrome browser version 86 or newer you may have noticed that some file downloads don't work anymore in the browser. You click on the download link and nothing happens. Chrome does not display a notification and there is no information that explains what is happening.
The MacroView Download page links have been updated to rectify this issue, however, if you encounter any broken download link please email us and we will rectify it. You can use the workaround options below to download your software while we attend to the issue.
Workaround
- Use a different browser for MacroView downloads. Currently Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Opera work for downloads from our website.
- If you only have access to Chrome you can right click on the download link and select Open link in incognito window as illustrated below. The download will then begin in an incognito window.
3. In Google Chrome when you are on the MacroView website click the lock/info icon to the left of the address bar > click Site settings > scroll down to Insecure content, change Block (default) to Allow. Reload the MacroView page and the download links will function as normal on our website.
*Please note we do not recommend using this method for other websites*
