Welcome to the November 2025 release of DMS Next. There are many enhancements and improvements in this release, and we've fixed a few things as well.

Release highlights

DMS Next - November 2025 release

Drag & Drop

This release includes an improved drag and drop feature.

  • Move items by dragging and dropping them from the item list to a valid tree view location.
  • We've also added support for copying files — simply hold CTRL during a drag and drop action to copy a file instead of moving it.

Node Visibility
Customise the locations shown in your MacroView tree view. Select location types to show or hide to suit your needs. Eliminate Hub sites to show everything at the next level down. To learn more, see Configure node visibility in the DMS Next tree view.

Item List
You can now choose to see all files without folders in the item list. Switch between a hierarchical view that shows the folders and files at a selected level, or a flat view that hides the folder structure and shows all the files below.

We've made some improvements to drag and drop, the tree view, search, and a few other areas for a better user experience.

Drag and drop

Improvements to drag and drop include the following.

  • We've added support for dragging and dropping files from the item list to a valid tree view location.29407 

  • We've extended the drag and drop feature to support copying files — simply hold CTRL while you drag and drop to copy instead of moving.29637 

Tree view

Improvements to the tree view let you see what's most important to you.

  • Choose which types are shown in the tree view. You can hide hub sites if you want to see all sites in a flattened list, or remove any node from the tree view (for example, sites, document libraries, or lists) based on their name or a number of other conditions.29470 

  • Switch between a hierarchical view that shows folders and files at the selected level only, or a flat view that hides the folder structure and lets you see all the files below.29469 

User interface

  • The Browse mode breadcumb has been improved, allowing you to see the full URL of the current location. You can even type/paste in the breadcrumb now to navigate to another location. 29639

  • We've reviewed the user interface and added/updated a selection of text and tooltips. 29441

    For example, we've added appropriate file size units in the Search Results > Size > Selection Filter options to make these options clearer. 29548

Configuration

  • We've added configurable properties to the Teams app manifest allowing Teams administrators to rebrand and white label some aspects of the DMS Next user interface. 29457
