Export your SharePoint Search Configuration

Export Tenant Level Search Configuration

To export the tenant level search configuration, a user with the Office 365 - SharePoint Admin Role needs to log into the SharePoint Administration Center using a web browser.

SharePoint Admin Center

https://[your subdomain]-admin.sharepoint.com

Click the More Features link the left hand menu.

Click the Open button under the Search heading.

Click Export Search Configuration.

Please wait... it may take a few minutes for SharePoint to generate the XML file.

Then save the SearchConfiguration.xml file to your local file system.

 

Export Site Collection Level Search Configuration

To export a site collection level search configuration, a user with site administration access or full control access needs to browse to the site collection using a web browser.

Then go to Site Contents > Site Settings.

Click Search Configuration Export link.

Please wait... it may take a few minutes for SharePoint to generate the XML file.

Then save the SearchConfiguration.xml file to your local file system.
