Administrators can deploy MacroView DMS Next to specific users, groups or to an organisation to ensure the app is installed and ready to use without users having to install it themselves.
Since DMS Next is available for Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft 365 app, the deployment process varies depending on which Microsoft product you are using.
If you intend to deploy DMS Next to all Teams, Outlook and Microsoft 365, please follow all instructions below.
Important: To complete the steps in this article, a user account with the Tenant Administrator role is required.

- In the sidebar, select Show all, then select Settings and Integrated apps.
- Select the Available apps tab.
- Using the search bar, search for DMS Next, then select it.
- Under the Actions heading, select Deploy app.
- The Deploy New App window will appear, reminding you that this process will deploy DMS Next to the Microsoft 365 and Outlook host products. Select Next to continue.
- Assign users to receive DMS Next — choose between your account, specific users/groups or the entire organisation. Once you have chosen an option, select Next.

- Review your selected settings and select Finish deployment to complete the process.
Microsoft Teams
To deploy MacroView DMS Next to Teams:
- Go to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
- In the sidebar, go to the Teams apps group, then select Setup policies.
- App setup policies control how apps are made available to a user in Microsoft Teams. From this page, you can use or create your own policy to control the DMS Next deployment, or select the Global (Org-wide default) to deploy DMS Next to all users in your organisation. For more information, see Use app setup policies to pin and install apps for users.
For this example, we will deploy DMS Next using the Global (Org-wide default) option that is provided by default. Select Global (Org-wide default) to continue.
- Under the Installed apps heading, select Add apps.
- Search for DMS Next, choose the Select button, then Add to proceed.
(Optional) From this page, you can also set DMS Next to be pinned so users with this policy will have the app pinned in the Microsoft Teams sidebar for easy access. Having the application pinned and easily available will help increase app adoption and engagement. To pin DMS Next:
- Under the Pinned apps heading, select Add apps.
- Search for DMS Next, choose the Select button, then Add to proceed.
- Confirm the order of the apps based on how they should appear for users in Microsoft Teams.
- Review your selections, then select Save, and Confirm to complete the process.
