Email attachments can be dragged and dropped from Outlook to SharePoint when using MacroView DMS/DMS Pro. They can also be saved separate to the email automatically when you drag and drop the email. But how would you split the attachments from emails that have already been saved to SharePoint?
You could re-open the email from SharePoint and then drag and drop its attachments to the required location, or open the email attachment directly from the preview pane in DMS/DMS Pro by double clicking it and then saving it to the new location.
MacroView DMS/DMS Pro make this even easier by allowing you to drag and drop a copy of an attachment from the preview pane when viewing an email in SharePoint, to another location in SharePoint or to your local computer. Simply left click the attachment icon in the preview pane and drag it to the new location.
If the email has multiple attachments, you can only drag and drop one attachment at a time.
You can drag and drop the attachment in the following ways:
- from the preview in Outlook to the File List in Outlook
- from the preview in Outlook to the Tree View in Outlook
- from the preview in Outlook to the File List in DMS Explorer
