Upgrading MacroView Case and Matter from 8.6.05 or earlier to 8.6.06 or later

MacroView Case and Matter includes a number of standard plug-ins (extensions) for MacroView DMF that add additional right-click functionality to the tree view and automatically set the default values for configured metadata columns as documents are saved.   

When installing Case and Matter the installation wizard allows you to select which of these additional plug-ins you wish to install.

To simplify deployment the following two plug-ins have been removed from this dialog when installing MacroView Case and Matter 8.6.06 and these plug-ins are included by default.

  • MacroView Default Person Group 1.0.7
  • MacroView Map Folder to Field Name 1.0.5

If you are upgrading to MacroView Case and Matter 8.6.06 you will need to uninstall the earlier version of these plug-ins from Control Panel. 

To do this, open Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs, then selected the highlighted items an click Uninstall

If you have not uninstalled the previous version, you will see duplicates listed in the Extension section in DMF Options.

These extensions will be displayed grayed out under Options if MacroView DMF 8.6.103 or later is installed and you do not have a valid MacroView Case an Matter license.

If you have a license for MacroView Case and Matter 8.6.06 these extensions are shown grayed out under options, contact MacroView Services.
