MacroView Solution Provisioning (MVSP) version 3.0 released on 4th of November 2020 and includes new provisioning options to create Microsoft Teams and Channels in Office 365.
In MVSP version 3.0 both the create Microsoft Team and Channel options are enabled by default.
What is changing?
With the release of MacroView Solution Provisioning (MVSP) version 3.0 we have added two new settings to enable / disable the right-click creation of Microsoft Teams and Channels.
This means that users with MVSP version 3.0 installed will now see two new provisioning options under the DMF Client / Message right-click Provision flyout menu.
New Team
New Channel
In order to control if these new provisioning options are enabled or disabled we have updated the existing MVSP Functions.xml file and MVSP Group Policy settings with two new settings, namely NewTeam and NewChannel.
Functions.xml file
Group Policies
How will this impact you?
If you are upgrading to MVSP version 3.0 and would like to disable the new create Team and / or create Channel functionality, which by default is enabled, you will need to carry out either of the following updates.
If you are using the MVSP Functions.xml file to control what settings are enabled / disabled in MVSP and you want to disable the creation of new Microsoft Teams and Channels please update this file in your Central Configuration Location to include these new Functions and set their values to zero (disabled).
If you are using MVSP Group Policy settings to control what settings are enabled / disabled in MSVP and you want to disable the creation of new Microsoft Teams and Channels please update your MVSP Group Policies to include these two new settings and set their values to zero (disabled).
For more information on how to do this please see the configuration section in the following article.
