Overview
A core feature of MacroView Mail is saving your emails to a shared location, letting you get on with what you need to do, and giving you the confidence that you can find that email you need when you need it. Emails often include attachments that may be as important as the email itself, so you want the option to store and retrieve attachments as well as the emails they're attached to. MacroView Mail has the flexibility to let you decide whether to save emails, their attachments, or both.
Options
You can choose which parts of an email are saved in the MacroView Mail options.
Items selected for saving
- Open the MacroView Mail pane.
- Click .
- In the Items selected for saving field, select from the available options:
- Email message only
- Attachments
- Email message and attachments
- Click Save Changes.
Inbox emails
When saving an email in your inbox, after opening the MacroView Mail pane and selecting the location to save your email, you're prompted to select Content type and, optionally, metadata.
In the following example, both the email and its attachments will be saved to the selected location, keeping their original file names. For the email, the original file name is generated by MacroView Mail using the default email naming format (see MacroView Mail default email filename format).

Send and Save
Attachments can be saved using MacroView Mail's Send and Save feature following the same process described above. For more information, see MacroView Mail – Send and Save.
Quick save
Attachments can be saved using MacroView Mail's Quick Save feature following the same process described above. For more information, see MacroView Mail Quick Save.
If an attachment already exists in the save location, you need to decide whether to change the file name or overwrite the existing file.
