MacroView DMS generate trace files which capture information about any errors that may occur. When reporting an issue it is useful if an information level trace file is also provided.
Information level logging can be set from within the MacroView client product by selecting Options > Support > Trace Level and then resetting the drop down from Exception to Information.
Clear existing logs - click Clear Trace Files. To produce a trace file, logout and log back in then right click > refresh on the server node in the tree-view and attempt the process that triggered the issue again. Then forward all generated trace log files which can be accessed by clicking on the Trace Files button above.
Notes:
- Information level logging should be used sparingly in a shared disk environment such as Citrix and Remote Desktop services.
- When Information level logging is enabled a warning message will be displayed when starting MacroView DMS.
