Issue
The MacroView DMS pane becomes disconnected/detached from Outlook and floats in a separate display window (adxtaskpane), commonly on the left side of the desktop.
Applies to:
- MacroView DMS
- Office 365 Desktop Edition (September 2018 release)
Resolution
A recent update (September 2018) to Microsoft Office/Outlook has introduced new user interface options that conflict with MacroView DMS.
To resolve this issue upgrade to MacroView DMS version 8.5 or later. This is available to download from the Downloads site.
To resolve this issue in version 8.4:
- Open Outlook
- Click File > Options
- Go to the General tab > User Interface Options and check the button Optimize for compatibility (see below).
- Restart Outlook - the issue should be resolved.
